SOPHIE RAYMOND – Creative Director/ 4allEK Founder

Sophie is a multi award winning filmmaker, singer/songwriter and arts project facilitator who collaborates with other creatives to pioneer fresh ways of engaging audiences, opening them up new ways of seeing and being.

She’s a founding member of the Southern Ladies Animation Group, whose collaborative short film “It’s Like That’  revealed the plight of detained refugee children in Australia and screened at 60 festivals worldwide. It is still used by Amnesty International as an educational tool. Sophie was Assistant Animator on Adam Eliot’s Oscar winning animated short “Harvie Krumpet,” and with filmmaker Bob Connolly co-produced, directed and was principal editor of the box office hit Mrs Carey’s Concert (2011). Her work on the film won her multiple awards for best film, direction and sound, including two AACTAs. In 2015/2018 Sophie facilitated a ground breaking collaboration between NASA, 80 community groups and the Global Orchestra in ‘The Concert for the Planet’ during Earth Hour, anchored by the SSO in the Sydney Opera House. Working with renowned recorder virtuoso Genevieve Lacey, Sophie then directed the innovative and much lauded “Recorder Queen(2021), which paints the picture of what it feels like to choose a creative life. As a singer/ songwriter she’s toured and released three albums internationally, sharing the stage with some of Australia’s finest folk, jazz and world musicians.

Drawing upon the skills and experience listed above; coupled with Sophie’s extensive research and interviews with some of the world’s leading evolutionary psychologists and behaviourists, as part of her development of two other projects (with Jane) centring upon humankind’s disconnected relationship with the natural world- Sophie started to give shape to FOR ALL EARTHKIND in late 2021, beginning work on the anthem with Tony King and formulating a way to engage schools and the community with Karen and Jane. Sophie’s academic background in Anthropology, Drama & Theatre studies and Interactive media also underpins the vision of this project.

KAREN CAREY OAM- Music Education

Karen Carey has spent a lifetime proving that music is more than notes on a page — it is a force that binds people together and lifts them beyond themselves.

Over four decades as a teacher, leader, and visionary, she has shaped generations of young musicians: from her early work in public schools, to 25 transformative years as Director of Music at MLC School, and later as Artistic Director at Santa Sabina College.

Her landmark Opera House concerts, uniting entire school communities in ambitious works, became a signature of her belief that every child deserves the exhilaration of great music-making. The award-winning documentary Mrs Carey’s Concert captured this spirit for the world to see. Many of her students now hold senior positions in orchestras and institutions across the globe, testament to her enduring influence.

Extending her vast networks of schools, educators, and alumni, Karen’s ethos — that music builds belonging, resilience, and joy — resonates deeply with the vision of For All Earthkind– placing young people at the centre of cultural life.
